Do you make the Best Salsa in Austin?

I've entered myself into this Salsa Contest at Faraday's Kitchen Store in Lakeway. This will be the first cooking competition I've ever entered.

Faraday's 4th Annual Foodie-Palooza presents the 1st ever Vita-Mix Salsa Contest!

Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 12-5.

Entry is FREE! Winners will be selected in three categories- Red Salsa, Green Salsa and Specialty Salsa.

An overall winner will be chosen from the category winners, with prizes and gift certificates being awarded to the winner of each category, as well as a "People's Choice" winner.

The overall winner will receive a Vita-Mix CIA Professional Series (valued at $500)

Judges will be:

• Tony Curtis-Wellings- Owner of Faraday's Kitchen Store
  
• Margarito Aranda- Owner of Sazon Restaurant in Austin and 2008 1st Place winner at Austin's Hot Sauce Festival


• David and Carol Carter- Creators and Owners of Carter's Select line of Salsas, Sauces and Drink Mixes


• Robert Heineman- Representative for Vita-Mix Blenders
  

The Public is invited for FREE SAMPLING and voting to select the People's Choice winner! Samples will be available for tasting from 3-5 pm.
